Lightning Talks

Lightning talks can be a great way to present one clear message. They are popular with both audiences and presenters and can be a lot of fun.

You will have 5 minutes to talk with 20 slides automatically advancing every 15 seconds. Your presentation will be cut off at the five-minute mark. There will be no question time immediately following your presentation. But if time allows, the session chair may open for questions after several presenters.

If slides contain words, keep the content short, bold and bright. Photos and pictures are most effective for lightning talks. Graphs and tables are not recommended. Please prepare Microsoft PowerPoint slides and set them to advance automatically every 15 seconds.

We encourage you to give this presentation format a go!
