Collaboration: Everyone’s Business – Te Mahitahi: Hei Painga Mo Te Katoa
“Pēnā he painga mo te whānau, hapū, iwi mahia te mahi-Na Te Puea Herangi”
This whakatauāki captures the essence of both what collaboration and everyone’s business says.
‘Our Māori King’s ancestor Te Puea Herangi used this whakatauāki to say that if it benefits our whānau, hapu iwi, then do the work, whatever it may entail,’ said national cultural advisor, Rangi McLean.
ANA would especially like to acknowledge the mana whenua who will be hosting us on their whenua at the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre in Auckland, and to Rangi McLean from Hāpai Te Hauora for gifting the name and whakatauāki to our conference.
E ngā rangatira, ngā mihi maioha ki a koutou me to koutou manaakitanga ki a mātou.
